Sustainability, Accessibility and Legacy Head, Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee

Dr Braga is the Sustainability, Accessibility and Legacy head of the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee. Her responsibilities are to develop and oversee the sustainability, accessibility and legacy programmes of Rio 2016, contributing to the creation of positive and lasting environmental, social and economic legacies.

She has a robust expertise in sustainability with more than 20 years of professional experience in the area.  Her professional background combines a hands-on experience in managing sustainability projects for private companies, local and national governments, research institutions and NGOs with academic experience in research and lecturing.

Before joining Rio 2016 in March 2012, Dr Braga worked as Scientific Head of Sustainable Sport and Event at the AISTS (International Academy of Sports Science and Technology) and as a senior researcher at IMD Business School (Switzerland). She also lectured at a number of postgraduate level, continuing and executive education programmes in Brazil and Switzerland.
