In addition to his role at the International WELL Building Institute Kamyar serves as Vice President of Shangri-La Industries, where he manages SLI business partnerships in real estate, technology, and sustainability.

An experienced investment advisor and real estate executive with 15 years in development, construction, and operations, Kamyar heads up IWBI’s international strategy and advises the organization’s Board and executive team on market development, operations, and public policy. In addition, he manages the organization’s strategic collaborations with the Clinton Global Initiative and U.S. Green Building Council.

Projects and investments Kamyar has led include signature hotel properties in Beverly Hills; premier LEED mixed use and commercial office projects in the Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Las Vegas, and Guam; and large-scale renewable energy projects including production, transmission, and installation in the US and internationally.

Prior to joining SLI, Kamyar worked with an investment group based in Silicon Valley with a portfolio including medical delivery systems, travel and leisure, and retail clothing.
