Executive Director, Golf Environment Organisation
Kelli Jerome serves as an Executive Director for the international not-for-profit group founded to help drive sustainability in golf and through golf, supporting the industry in its aim to continually improve environmental and social performance, and to use its reach and visibility to help raise sustainability funding and awareness.
GEO has been dedicated entirely to sustainability in golf for ten years and has developed a highly credible standards and certification system, one of only 22 eco-labels to earn full membership in the ISEAL Alliance, the global body for credibility in labelling. GEO also provides an innovative technology platform to make sustainability guidance, reporting and knowledge-sharing available to any of the 34,000 golf facilities in 142 countries, as well as programmes for new developments and for tournaments.
Working collaboratively with an extensive partner network across the international industry as well as many friends in the sustainability movement, exciting new targets are being set to provide even more value to nature and people, to support further reduction in resource use, and to bring forward more communications to raise awareness.
Before joining GEO Kelli had a career in product management and strategic relations at Microsoft headquarters in Seattle.
